After a day in the sunshine, I thought I’d just throw this question out there for contemplation. Who’s ready for a little of this?
Who’s ready for this?
It seems like years since we loaded a cooler, chairs and a bottle of sunscreen for a day at the beach.
Or watched a volley…
I love to people-watch and there’s no better place than The Hangout.
Well, Pink Pony might be a close second.
And I loved watching this little guy. I don’t think anybody told him, that when you do this….
This happens.
Just showing off my new camera. And wondering if you’ve missed the cry of the gulls?
Are you craving fresh seafood? We had to stop by Lulu’s newest addition for a bite or two. We were intrigued to find out that the chef, Randall Baldwin, trained with Frank Stitt of Highland Bar and Grill fame. We also found it interesting that 95% of the menu is grown or harvested locally in Baldwin County or close. The seafood comes out of the Gulf of Mexico, of course. Chef named Baldwin, locally grown produce, right-off-the-boat seafood… There could be something else fresh in the county, folks.
We had the grilled mango, crab claws and the seafood bisque. It was divine.
This was the view from our table. Are your toes itching to dabble in the surf, yet?
Just across the playground, our famous Lulu’s of the homegrown Buffet family, serves up all the seafood your heart could desire.
I reckon we won’t be able to stir the chilluns with a stick, come March 8th or so… Spring break is on the horizon.
Today was a beach-fix for us. We had no chairs, no cooler and no sunscreen, but we put our feet in the sand, took deep breaths of sea air and enjoyed watching the prequel to many days in the Baldwin County sun.
It’s been a looooooo ooooong winter. Are you ready for this?
