Coffee or Cocktail Table
Question: What do you call that table that sits in front of your sofa? Is it a coffee table or a cocktail table? Does it depend on the beverage you are serving?
For today’s 31 Days of Flipping Out, I am featuring a table you sit in front of your sofa. It is also another thrift score that cost only $15. When I told my sister it would be today’s feature, she agreed to share it, but added, “you know it’s not my favorite flip.” So, I’m letting you all know ahead of time…sometimes you stand back and admire your work and other times, well, you stand back and scratch your head.
Personally, I think she did a great job (just like she always does), but I also understand how some things just don’t sing to you. I’m also guessing that this coffee table may have been brand new during the same timeframe that leisure suits were popular, so any change would be a vast improvement!
Here it is at it would have looked with a leisure suit pants leg propped on it.
And here it is today. She painted it with Amy Howard Chalk Paint in Linen with dark wax.
This is a cell phone picture, but isn’t it pretty with the leaves down? Now I ask you, would you want to sit here and have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine? I think it could be either one. It all depends on what time of day it is.
Now on to our Thoughtful Thursday Link Party:
My party is growing and I had a record number of links last week with 11 total links. Hehehe. I am excited to share with you the feature for the week. Thank you so much to everyone for sharing last week and I hope you’ll share again today!
Patina Glasses by Martinel. These were so very pretty. I’m thinking a garden party with champagne and strawberries would be a great host to these glasses.
The patina glasses by Martinel were so unusual. Don’t you love the gold and patina mixed together? I can’t wait to see what you all share this week.
