As I’ve said in previous posts, there’s always something fun to do on the Gulf Coast. We took a Sunday drive and ended up in Orange Beach at the Festival of Art. This is a festival that has been going on for 40 years and I had no clue. If you love art, like me, and you are planning a trip to the area, plan it around the festivals.
It was held at the Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach which is a beautiful setting.
Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach.
Orange Beach makes it easy to get here, too. Parking was at The Wharf and we were shuttled to the center of the fun.
Performing Arts….
Culinary Arts….
Shipps Harbor Grill is one of our favorite restaurants on the coast. It was great to see them at this event with some of their delicious dishes.
Now on to Fine Arts…
These little blooms keep your plants well-watered. So pretty, I’m wishing now that I’d bought one.
For the budding artists, there was a Kiddie Art Alley.
I almost laughed out loud at this site. It reminded me of “Sammy” in Steel Magnolias. Remember, he couldn’t see —- out of his costume? Sorry…couldn’t resist.
Sarah did a great job decorating her umbrella.
Fine art was everywhere you looked. It was a great day. If you couldn’t be here yourself, I hope you enjoyed my version. In the meantime, put this on your spring calendar for next year. I’m sure the 41st annual Festival of Art will be just as much fun!
And next weekend, The Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival will be in my backyard.
