Cozi Rosie will be modeling different necklaces for multiple necklines today. As I am now 5 years older than I was in 2010, I’ve decided to do a bit of experimentation with what necklaces look best with my clothes and on my neck. I hope you will share your thoughts on necklaces for the woman over 50.
I’ve noticed on some of my morning shows that many women have had work done, and how do I know this? Of course, it is by looking at their neck. Therefore, it got me to thinking that we should choose very carefully what attention we draw to our décolletage. Women like Diane Keaton wear turtlenecks and scarves, Jane Fonda has been seen wearing chokers, but as I perused the internet, one thing seems to stand out. Most women over 50 try to avoid drawing attention to their necklines. It is my desire to grow old as gracefully as my fun will allow me, so here are a few looks I might still consider.
A John Medeiros Peridot Pendant on a silver omega chain fits this scoop neckline perfectly.
A Simple Pearl Pendant echoes the V-neck of this blouse.
A trio of short necklaces also lay in a V shape.
Gold Omega Chain with Chocolate Diamonds Pendant for an elegant statement. (For all those red carpet events here on the coast.) 😉
Different lengths of John Medeiros Jewelry and a piece from Estate Jewelers.
A long charm necklace will draw the eye away from the neck.
The details of the netted yoke are all the adornment this neckline needs. (IMO) Some funky earrings would be such fun.
This Chico’s animal print wrap has small silver studs across the blouse. I would wear some pretty studs or a pair of long dangly earrings with a stack of silver, black and white bracelets. No necklace needed.
For a younger lady, this is such a fun necklace. But, as I looked in the mirror with this choker, I decided I should leave this to the 20-30 something year olds. What do you think? It is definitely a statement piece and I’m thinking that my statements now need to come from my wrists, ears, fingers and the enchanting stories I tell here on CoziNest. (wink, wink)
This is a recent purchase that I love. If you wanted to draw attention away from your neck, would you wear this?
And here is Cozi Rosie in a lace dress. What would you wear with this?
Now, let me throw the proverbial monkey wrench into this whole post. Remember seeing your grandmother in her “house dress”? This is a modern day version. My nanny cooked and cleaned in her house dress. I might add a small strand of pearls, clean my jewelry and cook up a mimosa.
