The word Konami in Japanese means “small wave”. So I am assuming that is where the name of this steakhouse in Trussville, Alabama got it’s name. Knomi Japanese Steakhouse. But, for the life of me I don’t understand it. Our performing artist (chef), prepared a meal that served 8 in just a few minutes. That’s no small feat.
I haven’t been to a Japanese steakhouse in a long time. I have missed it.
Our chef was both a good cook, and very talented at making his patrons forget how hungry they were. It is almost as much fun to watch as it is to eat.
This volcano may not have spewed any lava or ash into the atmosphere, but it grabbed the attention of our group of spectators.
And, look at the island it created! A happy place for sure.
I’m thinking I need a griddle this size. The entire meal, except for soup and salad was prepared in this one spot.
This night was especially fun as we had a small family gathering to celebrate Thing 2’s 22nd birthday. She’s the first thing on the left. Next is my niecey thing and her boyfriend.
Thing 2 didn’t want the birthday celebration with the staff, but if you are looking for a fun place to celebrate an occasion, check out your local Japanese steakhouse. They will beat drums, sing loud and bring you a banana boat dessert that’s all your own. Nothing small about this wave of fun.
