Last week for Fashion Friday, I began with Stein Mart at The Club. Today, we will have the grand finale of that show. The following is Stein Mart Part Deux! These are beautiful ladies in beautiful clothes with lots of beautiful friends. I was honored by the invitation of the lovely Mrs. Ellen, (who you will be hearing much more about in the near future), to attend and document this show. The ladies at Ellen’s table were so sweet and all had very interesting stories to tell about how they knew Mrs. Ellen. I’m thinking they have future stories for CoziNest. Enduring friendships from grammar school were the ties that bound some of these lovely southern belles to our model.
Back row from the left: Charlotte Gibson, Karen Conner, Tresa Herring, Jo Ann Benton, Ellen House, Genell Esslinger, Eunice Gray, Nell Cooper, and Sarah Ferguson. Seated on the front row from left: Ann Hughes, Mary Somerville, Anita McBride and Debbie Gossett. And then there’s me behind the camera! We had a fabulous time together in the historic setting of The Club.
This fashion show was produced, styled and directed by Darlene Real-Higginbotham. Darlene is the founder of The Real Model Connection and President of Appearance Matters, Inc. She is also a fashion stylist and coach. If you would like to contact her for a style update, call her at 205-902-4808.
Stein Mart Part Deux
Our first model for today is none other than the gorgeous Linda. Start singing the tune, “Isn’t She Lovely?” by Stevie Wonder as you scroll through today’s post, because these are some lovely ladies! I didn’t get a picture of Linda’s second outfit as my camera was pitching a fit with it’s operator, so I am showing her again in the orange lace dress by Kelli & Diane. In addition to this lovely dress and scarf, I wanted you to see her shoes.
Are they not just too cha-cha for words? All of these ladies have great taste in shoes. They wear their own shoes, so I’m sorry I can’t pass on where to go shoe shopping.
Equally cha-cha is this Michael Kors double-breasted pea coat that Ginny is gliding across the floor in.
I love this blouse.
And as these ladies promenade, we see Trish in her yellow jacket by Anne Klein.
“Isn’t she lovely?” Stevie Wonder may have written that song for his newborn daughter, but it certainly applies to these ladies as well. And isn’t this next lady, wonderful?
Raneta is absolutely “the angel’s best” in this black jumpsuit.
To carry on with the song, isn’t Barbara, precious?
I think pink should be Barbara’s signature color. The beads are da bomb and don’t you think this Max and Rina animal print top makes an exotic statement?
Coupled with Barbara’s exotic statement, is Billie in this alluring bell-sleeved dress.
This would be a fun dress for whatever your adventure might be.
How could anyone not love this smile? “We have been heaven blessed” by Cindy in this split-sleeve top and palazzo pants.
“Life and love are the same” for our Judy in this cheerful, turquoise, summer outfit. The hat is adjustable as is Judy’s personality. She has happy and playful in this ensemble.
And our next model is my sweet friend, Mrs. Ellen. Isn’t she LOVELY? This soft and feminine crocheted top is worn over a black Max Edition maxi dress. What a fabulous idea! This was the hit this week. Ladies were trying to buy the top right off her shoulders!
Would you take a look at Mrs. Ellen’s posture? I’ve seen this pose before and it begs the question, “What charm school did she attend?” She is simply divine.
And last, but never least, is Mrs. Kay. If the commercial is correct, and the Kiss begins with K, then we’ve all been blown an affectionate goodbye kiss by this precious lady. I have yet to see her in an outfit that isn’t fun and fashionable. She can make an entrance.
And she can make an exit.
With this post, I will be making a temporary exit as well. I will be posting only 2-3 posts over the next few weeks as I enjoy some time with my family. I hope your nest remains cozy and that you don’t forget me!!!
