You’ve heard that great things come in small packages, well, Simply Divine, LLC is a small package. This small shop on Fairhope Avenue could easily be missed if your eyes are not trained to look for it. But it is truly a great find. If you are looking for a shop that carries clothing for the “over-40” woman that doesn’t make you look like you’re trying too hard or not hard enough, this is the place.
I stumbled into this little treasure back in the fall when I was shopping for a long sleeve top that wouldn’t set my very soul on fire. Cassandra, the owner, was a precious lady who helped me make my first purchase in her store. It was a special occasion – I was meeting Rhoda Vickers, of Southern Hospitality Blog and I needed a nice top to wear with my jeans.
Rhoda Vickers and me.
This is the top, by Escada, that Cassandra introduced me to and I’ve been hooked ever since.
This top sits off the shoulder and is such a vibrant color. It sits below the hips and is attractive on all shapes.
The thing I love about these tops is that they all seem to hit at just the right place on the hips to slim our bodies.
And these Tru Luxe Jeans have just the right amount of Spanx to make them fit and comfortable at the same time.
The red top above is just above the hips so as not to add bulk to a pear/inverted triangle body (like mine-not hers). The eye is drawn naturally to the bell sleeves. The jeans have no embellishments on the pockets and are a skinny fit.
These wheeled carts will be gone the first day of Arts & Crafts, just like last year. They make perfect carts for picnics, shopping or travel and are a steal at $29.99. I couldn’t resist.
They have great handbags, too.
Blue and White is always in style.
