Fashion Friday: Fashion Board

Are you bored with your fashion style? Then I have an exercise for you that will liven up your style and give you confidence in how you look – no matter your age, size or shape, I promise! We are going to create a Fashion Board on this Fashion Friday.

I met with Megan LaRussa again this week and we went through an exercise that was immensely helpful. I want to share it with you. In order to figure out what your personal style is, pick up two magazines this weekend, such as InStyle and Lucky. Go through each magazine from front to back and mark every single thing you like, including accessories. Write on the page what it is that you like.

According to I Love Your Style, by Amanda Brooks , there are 5 different style categories. You can likely figure these out on your own, but just in case you can’t, I’ll give you a picture of each to define each style.

5.  Eclectic

Ok, now that you have chosen the pictures that represent your style and gotten an idea of what your style is…which is it? There is a new term out there for me and likely some of you. It’s called gypset. It’s a gypsy/jet setter. Well, I may not travel all the time by jet, but I am definitely a gypsy. I’ve been saying that for the last 3 years. And jet setter… well, thanks to a friend who will remain nameless, I am becoming a jetsetter, too. We fly to NYC this morning. You’ve heard me say multiple times that I love my job. I also love my life!

Next week, when I return from NYC, I’ll be at The Club in Birmingham with a model friend, as she walks the runway for Chico’s. I’m not bragging, I’m in shock.  What a life! I have to pinch myself sometimes to see if it’s really happening to me.

I am an Eclectic style lady, which in my mind is a cross between classic and bohemian. I’ve created a Pinterest Board that describes me, so go on over and check it out. While you’re there, create your own board that describes your style and comment here to let me know what you are. Isn’t this fun?
