A New Dining Room in Pelham, AL

As I’ve mentioned before, my friend Denise is slowly getting settled into her new home in Pelham, AL. On Thursday of last week, we featured the new basement. Today, we are featuring her dining room.

Denise is the hostess with the mostest, so I’m sure this empty space will soon be filled with laughter, love and luscious meals.

The floors are a deep brown stain and the room is large enough for one of her many dinner parties.

As you’ll soon see, the castle doors on this house are gorgeous and make a dynamic statement from the interior and the exterior.

And now the big reveal…

Dining for dollars? Looks like a million to me.

The ceiling catches your eye before you get a chance to look around the room. So very pretty. And her new chandelier sets the tone for a lavish meal. If there wasn’t one already, I’m sure Rick has installed a dimmer switch.

See! I told you the doors were magnificent! I have to confess here that I fell in love with her house before I’ve even stepped foot inside. After she sent me the pictures with an incredible story of how they came to find this house, I became nostalgic and a little sad. You see, it reminds me of my favorite house.  As I’ve mentioned before, we have moved 13 times in 33 years and there is one house that will always be my favorite. The bannisters above are just like mine, the master placement in the floor plan is like mine and the kitchen cabinets which you’ll see soon are also like the ones in my dream home. I still get a little misty when I think of it. I’m so happy for Denise and her family. It will be a great house and they will make lots of happy memories here. Memories I hope to be part of – beginning New Years Eve!

A foyer that says, “Come on in, I’m glad you’re here.” Let the good times and memories start here.
