The before and after photos I will be sharing over the next few days are of a house that was already beautiful. None the less, our company, Rave Redux, was asked to come in and re-accessorize, and it was an extreme pleasure. Today’s 31 Days of Flipping Out feature is the living room of a house in the Liberty Park subdivision of Birmingham, AL. My pictures do not even begin to do this place justice.
Here is the living room before. As I said, already very pretty…
Gorgeous colors.
The bookcases need a few new accessories, but are already in good shape.
This bookcase is a bit lonely.
The sofa table and lamps are perfect in this room, but we felt it blocked the architecture and view of the windows.
Unique floating table.
And here’s the flip…beginning with a partial pano shot taken with my cell phone:
An oil and floral arrangement with the floating table.
We moved the sofa table in order to highlight the beautiful windows and view to the back property. New accessories were added along with some fresh greenery.
We added a bit of life and accessories to the hearth.
We added light, time and texture to the bookcases.
We loved “the foot.” Casts like these were originally used in art classes to teach students the correct anatomy for sculptures and figurines. A great example of the tool becoming the art. This is my favorite piece that we added to the home. To me it portrays life in motion.
Adding small art hangings inside shelves is also one of my favorite additions to bookcases.
Another cell phone shot, so I am sick about the photo quality. It doesn’t show the beauty this vignette has in person. Kristie and I worked for two days getting everything just right in four rooms of this gorgeous home. Hurrying to finish on the last day, my pictures were snapped as we headed out the door.
Such a fantastic house. We will be sharing the kitchen, library and keeping room over the next few days. Stay tuned!
