31 Days of Tabletop Decorating

Every October for the last 3 years, I have participated in a 31 Day Writing Challenge. This year I’m offering 31 days of tabletop decorating ideas. There will be ideas for the bath, kitchen, bedroom, porch, patio, living room, dining room, home office and the mantle. I will include Autumn and Christmas in a select number of posts, but most of the ideas will be for everyday. I hope you enjoy it. I know I’m going to have a blast setting them all up and playing with new and old accessories.

31 days of tabletop decorating ideas

Day One

Tabletop before

The painting is a favorite that we purchased on our Alaskan cruise. It is colorful just like the artist, Duaiv. Finding just the right accessories to work with it was quite the challenge. I am satisfied for now, but will continue to search for just the right thing.

Accessorizing Step by Step

I added these lamps.

Book Box
Then I added this book box.
Pottery on top of books
We purchased this piece of pottery from Maria Spies in Silverhill, AL.

Globe with Spheres

I wanted to add a touch of green.

Globe and Pottery

This is where I stopped. At first.

Spheres with moss and globe.
I thought maybe a little white would brighten things up. But, it just didn’t work.
Pottery with Spheres

So I removed everything but the lamps and added just the pottery and spheres.

Vignuette

I used what I already had and have a new look. It will be fine until my next shopping trip!
